Backpacking to SIEM REAP - PHNOM PENH - HO CHI MINH (Part 6)

Banyak jugak siri perjalanan aku ni..mungkin boleh buat drama tapi tak cukup power lah sebab takde scene kena kawen paksa! Ehhh..

Day 5 - Friday (10/10/14)

Aku bangun agak awal sebab harini nak ke Killing Field. Apa itu Killing Field? Haaa japgi aku cerita okay!

*berlari masuk ke shower room*

Nasib baik roommate aku yang sorang tu dah siap mandi, yang lagi 2 orang minah salih masih membongkang sebab semalam diorang balik lambat rasanya. Entah, aku pun tak sedar. Haa minah yang duduk katil atas aku ni, dia dari California tapi bukan minah saleh. Nak kata chinese pun bukan, ermmm lebih kurang macam Lana Lang heroin Superman tu. Aku tak sempat borak panjang dengan dia sebab masing-masing tak lekat kat bilik. Apa yang aku tau dia dah 3 bulan travel lepas habis belajar. Fuhhhhh! *errr dekat entry sebelum ni aku macam dah cerita kan? nampak sangat entry dah simpan kat draft lepas tu edit je. Aku malas nak edit dekat previous post!;P*

Lepas dah siap-siap, aku pun keluar dari bilik membawa bersama 2 plastik baju kotor untuk di laundry. Serius! Trip ni aku memang tak bawak banyak baju pun. Pakai baju ulang2 je...hihihi. Masa kat Siem Reap aku basuh sendiri sebab dapat duduk private room kan.
Ok mari cari breakfast sebagai alas perut memandangkan semalam aku cuma makan mee sup. Nasib baik depan hostel ade convenient store! Cukuplah orange juice dengan croissant.
Sekarang ni kena cari tuktuk untuk tour aku harini. Semalam tanya kat receptionist harga tuktuk berapa kalau nak pergi Killing Field and Genocide Toul Seng, dia cakap 17usd. Phuiii mahal!

Biar kau yang approach the driver and name the price. Kalau harga tak ngam, cari tuktuk lain.

Ok aku dah dapat tuktuk, aku bargain 13usd untuk pergi 2 tempat tu tapi bila fikir balik bagus jugak direct ke Russian Market. So aku deal, 3 tempat untuk 15usd. Driver tuktuk tu mula-mula nak mintak lebih tapi aku insist jugak 15usd. Dia pun agree. Yeahhhhh!

Aaa driver tuktuk ni baik jugak lah! Mungkin dia perasan aku cuba nak ambil gambar few monumen, terus dia berhentikan tuktuk tepi jalan and suruh aku turun ambil gambar!

Mari teruskan perjalanan!

First stop: Toul Seng Genocide Museum

Nak masuk sini sila bayar 3usd ye!
Aku rasa seram kat sini, bulu roma pun dah meremang. Aihhhh jangan buat pasal lah.
Ada apa sebenarnya dekat sini?

Muzium ini asal nya sebuah sekolah tapi lepas tu ditukarkan menjadi penjara/tempat soal siasat untuk tahanan. Alaa aku nak cerita banyak pasal sejarah pun bukan terer sangat, apa kata korang google sendiri. Ok?
Tapi aku bagi sikit lah hasil daripada wikipedia:

Formerly the Chao Ponhea Yat High School, named after a royal ancestor of King the Khmer Rouge won the Cambodian Civil War, into a prison and interrogation center. The Khmer Rouge renamed the complex "Security Prison 21" (S-21) and construction began to adapt the prison to the inmates: the buildings were enclosed in electrified barbed wire, the classrooms converted into tiny prison and torture chambers, and all windows were covered with iron bars and barbed wire to prevent escapes.
From 1975 to 1979, an estimated 17,000 people were imprisoned at Tuol Sleng (some estimates suggest a number as high as 20,000, although the real number is unknown). At any one time, the prison held between 1,000–1,500 prisoners. They were repeatedly tortured and coerced into naming family members and close associates, who were in turn arrested, tortured and killed. In the early months of S-21's existence, most of the victims were from the previous Lon Nol regime and included soldiers, government officials, as well as academics, doctors, teachers, students, factory workers, monks, engineers, etc. Later, the party leadership's paranoia turned on its own ranks and purges throughout the country saw thousands of party activists and their families brought to Tuol Sleng and murdered. Those arrested included some of the highest ranking communist politicians such as Khoy Thoun, Vorn Vet and Hu Nim. Although the official reason for their arrest was "espionage", these men may have been viewed by Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot as potential leaders of a coup against him. Prisoners' families were often brought en masse to be interrogated and later executed at the Choeung Ek extermination center.
In 1979, the prison was uncovered by the invading Vietnamese army. In 1980, the prison was reopened by the government of the People's Republic of Kampuchea as a historical museum memorializing the actions of the Khmer Rouge regime.

Salah satu tempat seksaan

Antara mangsa-mangsa kekejaman Pol Pot

Itu darah! *telan air liur*

Semua tempat berpagar dengan dawai elektrik.
*err..mamat tu kebetulan ok masuk dalam frame, aku takde niat pun nak ambil gambar dia*

Alatan untuk menyeksa tahanan! Kepala hotak lah Pol Pot nihhh!

Tengkorak berlubang dan retak! Kau rasa tentera Pol Pot dia seksa guna apa??

Dekat sini aku jumpa 3 orang budak perempuan dari Malaysia, haa yang ni tak sombong! Sempat lah borak-borak kejap.
Untuk second stop aku buat entry lain lah, sebab banyak nak cerita dekat situ. Emosi pun sangat tak stabil dekat second stop tu.=(
